Yuan is an analyst at BISI, specialising in US–China strategic competition, China, and the wider Asia-Pacific region. Her work focuses on key policy issues, including US–China trade relations, Taiwan’s semiconductor industry, and China’s engagement in the Global South. Her analysis has appeared in outlets such as The Diplomat and Modern Diplomacy, where she provides insight into evolving geopolitical and economic dynamics. She recently completed her PhD in History at the University of Cambridge, and also holds an MPhil in American History from Cambridge and a BA in History from Sun Yat-sen University in China.
