The Bloomsbury Intelligence and Security Institute (BISI) is a unique youth-oriented think tank and consultancy established to provide a platform for students to explore and engage with the political risk and intelligence industry. What sets BISI apart is our hybrid structure: part social enterprise, part consultancy, and part think tank - an initiative designed to empower emerging talent through a multidimensional approach.
We recognise that intelligence and security cannot be effectively taught through theory alone. That’s why BISI places practical experience at the heart of its mission. Our analysts benefit from real-world, project-based training, international collaboration, and mentorship from professionals across public, private, and academic sectors. By equipping students with the tools, exposure, and guidance they need, we aim to bridge the long-standing gap between academia and industry - opening doors to a field that has traditionally been difficult to access.
BISI was created to address the shortage of entry-level opportunities in this space, functioning as an incubator for the next generation of intelligence and security professionals. In our first year, we published over 200 reports, participated in prestigious events such as the Warsaw Security Forum and the European Youth Event in Italy, and partnered with UK Cyber Week, OSINT Industries, and others. Our analysts gained exclusive access to the sector, were cited in national media, conducted expert interviews, and contributed to confidential client projects.
As we continue connecting talent with opportunity, BISI remains committed to producing timely and relevant analysis on a broad range of security-related issues - from conflict and geopolitics to environmental risks - whether widely discussed or overlooked.
