About Us
The Bloomsbury Intelligence and Security Institute (BISI) is a think tank established by postgraduate students from University College London (UCL) to provide a platform for students to explore and engage with the political risk and intelligence industry.
At BISI, we believe that intelligence and security cannot be taught solely through theory. We train, support, and nurture our analysts, equipping them to excel in the sector by providing hands-on experience. We established BISI as an incubator to address the lack of entry-level opportunities for young talent in intelligence and security, believing that the sector cannot be mastered through theory alone and instead requires hands-on training, support, and nurturing to help analysts excel.
During our first year of operation, we published over 200 reports, attended high-level conferences such as the Warsaw Security Forum, and organised a workshop at the European Youth Event in Italy. We partnered with UK Cyber Week, OSINT Industries, and more, enabling our analysts to gain exclusive access to the industry. Our analysts were cited in several news outlets, gave expert interviews for a national news broadcaster, and worked on confidential client projects.
As we continue bridging the gap between academia and industry and connecting talent with opportunities, we look forward to providing timely insights on security-related topics, ranging from conflict to environmental issues—whether widely discussed or underappreciated.
