Tom is an analyst at BISI specialising in security and diplomacy. He holds a first class BA Hons degree in Politics & International Relations from the University of Nottingham. His dissertation analysed the relationship between Israeli public discourse and the IDF's use of force in Gaza since October 7. Before joining BISI, Tom conducted a placement at the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), where he produced a report on the European defence industry. Tom has a strong passion for journalism and Open Source Investigations (OSINT), having undergone work experience at Sky News and led the Investigations section at Impact Magazine UoN. Alongside research and studies, Tom serves as a British military reservist.
