Nicole Pitassi

ANALYST

Nicole is an analyst specialising in online narratives, geopolitical risk, and terrorism. She holds an MSc in Security Studies from University College London and a BBA in Marketing from Hult International Business School.

Her research so far has focused on how online conversations, information, and narratives can shape political and conflict dynamics. Her last project was a large-scale open-source intelligence and discourse analysis dissertation covering online narratives about terrorist incidents in Kashmir, mapping X posts and official statements and discovering how government messaging and media amplification evolved during these specific crises. She is also the first author of a peer-reviewed publication in the Journal of Nonprofit & Public Sector Marketing and has co-authored a research issue in the Journal of Innovation & Knowledge. Both studies combined quantitative modelling, sentiment analysis, and qualitative discourse analysis to identify early indicators of polarisation and narratives developing and coordination.
