Larissa Alves Lozano

Larissa Alves Lozano is a Master of International Policy student at the University of Georgia (UGA), focusing on Energy Security and Nonproliferation. She also holds a BA in International Affairs and Security and a minor in German from UGA. Originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, her research interests include geopolitics, emerging technologies within energy and weapons developments, AI, cybersecurity, and dual-use nuclear technologies. Her academic background includes research on biomass energy policy in Copenhagen, Denmark, renewable energy urban design in Freiburg, Germany, emerging technologies-focused internships at Sandia National Laboratories, and nuclear energy and waste projects funded by Savannah River and Pacific Northwest National Laboratories. Prior to joining BISI, Larissa was an assistant senior editor and writer at the Georgia Political Review.
