Anna is a Senior Analyst of the Europe Desk at BISI. She has recently completed her BSc in Liberal Arts and Sciences, specialising in Governance, Economics and Development at Leiden University College, in The Hague (NL). Her research interests include migration, conflicts, the drivers of human (in)security, and development, with lenses that lie at the intersection of political economy and policy analysis. Her areas of expertise are Europe, primarily, and Southeast Asia, thanks to a semester of studies at the National University of Singapore.

Her work focuses primarily on European geopolitics and international affairs, with an active interest also in Southeast Asia, which she studied during an exchange semester at the National University of Singapore. Her research interests include migration, human security, and the comparative analysis of institutional and economic development. She has an interdisciplinary research approach, combining political economy, policy analysis, and international relations theory.

She is currently based in Malta, where she volunteers with the humanitarian NGO Migrant Offshore Aid Station, supporting fundraising, project management, and communications.
